Gyros off the spit. Halloumi straight from the grill. Souvlakia marinated in Greek herbs. This is what proper Greek fire cooking looks like.
Off The Grill
The Dishes That Come Straight From The Fire
Properly marinated, properly cooked, and served while everything is still at its best.

Pork Gyros Platter
Marinated pork slowly turned on the spit, carved off in crisp, juicy slices. Served with warm pita, tzatziki, chips, and red onion. The definitive Greek grill dish.

Chicken Gyros
Free-range chicken marinated in herbs and lemon, grilled until golden and slightly charred. Lighter than pork but every bit as satisfying.

Grilled Halloumi
Perfectly charred Cypriot halloumi with a crisp outer crust and melting inside. Served with lemon, herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil. Our most ordered starter.

Tigania from Macedonia
Pan-fried pork with peppers, wine, and herbs. A northern Greek classic that showcases what a proper grill kitchen does with simple, bold ingredients.

Sea Bass with Skordalia
Grilled sea bass fillet served with Skordalia — a rich, garlicky Greek potato purée. Clean, fresh, and deeply satisfying.

Meat Feast Platter
Gyros, souvlakia, and grilled meats together on one generous sharing plate. Built for serious appetites and group dining.
How We Do It
Marinate. Grill. Serve Immediately.
Greek grilling isn't fast food. The pork for our gyros is marinated overnight with garlic, cumin, paprika, and herbs. The chicken is lemon-marinated for hours before it goes on the grill. The sea bass is seasoned carefully and cooked to the moment.
This is BBQ culture in the most civilised sense — patient, deliberate, and built entirely around making the ingredient taste like itself, only better.

What Greek Grill Fans Say
“The gyros here is something special — properly marinated pork, beautifully cooked, served with everything it should come with. The best Greek grill food I've had outside of Greece.”

“As a Greek myself, I can say this place gets it right. The grilled halloumi was perfectly done — not overcooked, not rubbery. The chicken gyros was juicy and bright. Genuinely impressed.”
Maria V.
“Got the meat feast platter for the table and we were all blown away. Brilliant quality, generous portions, and the sort of warm atmosphere that makes the whole evening. Highly recommended.”

Greek Grill FAQs
What kind of grilled food do you serve at Jars Meze?
We serve authentic Greek grilled dishes including pork and chicken gyros, souvlakia (skewered meats), grilled halloumi, grilled sea bass, and Tigania. The grill is central to our kitchen and all our meat dishes are marinated with Greek herbs before cooking.
Is Greek grill food good for groups?
Ideal for groups. The meat feast platter is designed for sharing, and meze-style dining means you can order a selection of grilled dishes and small plates for the whole table to share. Much more enjoyable than everyone ordering separately.
Do you season your meats with authentic Greek spices?
Yes — all our meats are marinated using traditional Greek herb and spice blends. The gyros pork is marinated overnight. The chicken uses oregano, lemon, and garlic. Nothing is bland, nothing is shortcuts.
Can I combine grilled dishes with meze starters?
That's exactly how we recommend eating here. Start with a meze selection (dips, pastries, a few starters), then move to grilled mains. It's the most Greek way to eat and the most satisfying.
