Our Story
From Greek Family Cooking To a Bath Dining Room
Jars Meze is not trying to feel like a huge restaurant. The charm is the opposite: a personal, independent place where Greek food is served the way it should be, with shared plates, generous flavours, and a welcome that feels familiar.
Guests find us when they are looking for a Greek restaurant in Bath, somewhere central after visiting the Roman Baths, or a relaxed table for lunch and dinner that still feels special.

Independent, central, and made for people who like to linger.
What Shapes the Place
The Details That Make Jars Feel Like Jars
Cooked From Memory
The dishes are rooted in family recipes, with slow-cooked mains, fresh dips, grilled plates, and generous sharing food at the centre of the table.
A Proper Welcome
Jars is small, personal, and relaxed. The room matters as much as the plate because a Greek meal should feel sociable, warm, and unhurried.
Built For Groups
Meze works for couples, families, visitors, and friends because everyone can order a little of what they love and share it around.
Central Bath, Independent Feel
You will find us on Northumberland Place, close to the Roman Baths, but the experience still feels like an independent family table.

Moussaka
Layered, baked, comforting, and one of the dishes people come back for.

Kleftiko
Slow-cooked lamb with the kind of depth that makes a table go quiet for a moment.

Meze Plates
Dips, pastry, grilled dishes, salads, and small plates made to be passed around.
Food Philosophy
Food First, But Never Food Alone
The best Greek meals are not arranged like a quiet sequence of courses. They are passed across the table, talked over, revisited, and shared until everyone has found their favourite dish.
That is why the menu moves from dips and warm bread to grills, baked dishes, seafood, vegetarian plates, and desserts. You can keep it simple, build a full meze table, or ask the team what they would order tonight.
