The Best Restaurant
in Bath City Centre
Steps from the Roman Baths. A world away from chain restaurants. Authentic Greek meze, proper hospitality, and twelve years of making people very happy.
Why People Choose Jars Meze
Not Just Another Restaurant in Bath
Bath has no shortage of places to eat, but Jars Meze has something most of them don't: a genuine reason for existing. We're not here to fill a gap in the market, we're here because a Greek family wanted to share their food, their culture, and their hospitality with this city.
Everything on the menu is based on real recipes from real family kitchens in Ioannina and Corfu. The Kleftiko is the same one the family grew up eating. The dips are made every morning. The bread is warm. This is what good food looks like.

Locally Loved. Consistently Praised.
“We visited Bath for the day and asked the hotel for a restaurant recommendation. They sent us here without hesitation. Absolutely right to do so, brilliant food, wonderful service, and a location that feels like a little hidden treasure.”
Helen & Mike
“This is the sort of independent restaurant Bath needs more of. The Kleftiko is one of the best dishes I've eaten in any city. The owners clearly care enormously about what they're doing.”
Sam C.
“The meze sharing experience is just so much fun. We ordered about 8 things and they were all great. The gyros platter disappeared in about 4 minutes. We'll be back.”

Good to Know Before You Visit
Where in Bath city centre is Jars Meze?
We're at 6 Northumberland Place, Bath BA1 5AR, a short pedestrian lane right in the centre of Bath. You can walk from the Roman Baths in about 2 minutes, from Bath Spa station in 8, and from the High Street in 30 seconds.
Is this a good restaurant for visitors to Bath?
One of the most popular things to do after seeing the sights in Bath is to find a great meal. We see a lot of visitors and are proud that many of our best reviews come from people discovering us while visiting the city.
What's the best time to visit?
Any time is good, but for the best atmosphere, Friday or Saturday evening is hard to beat. If you want something a bit quieter, a midweek lunch is perfect, the food is every bit as good and you'll practically have Northumberland Place to yourself.
Do you have a childrens menu?
We don't have a separate childrens menu, but many of our dishes naturally suit younger diners, the gyros, the chips, the pita and dips. Just ask your server and we'll help you find the right things for your family.
